Chester County, Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police
Endorse Tom Killion for PA Senate
CHADDS FORD, PA – Tom Killion, the Republican candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania’s 9th Senatorial District, has earned the endorsement of the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 11 and the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27. Killion is running in a Special Election that will be held on the day of the Pennsylvania Primary, Tuesday, April 26th.
As a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Killion has been a strong supporter of the legislative priorities of local law enforcement. Killion has worked to make our communities safer by passing legislation to fight gang violence, expand the use of criminal background checks to protect children, and protect seniors from physical and financial abuses. Killion has also worked to curb the heroin abuse epidemic in our region by dedicating new resources to the state Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs and supporting the creation of a state prescription drug monitoring program.
“Tom Killion has been a strong supporter of our law enforcement officers, both as a member of the House of Representatives and as a member of Delaware County Council,” said Joe Fitzgerald, President of the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police. “He has always been there for our members and we are proud to endorse him for Pennsylvania Senate.”
“Killion has a strong record on public policy issues related to deterring and preventing crime and making our communities safer,” said Kevin Moore, a Trustee of the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 11. “He has a family member who is a police officer and understand the risks our members face on a daily basis. We know that he will be a strong supporter of our police officers in the Senate.”
“It means a lot to have the backing of the Chester and Delaware County law enforcement and public safety community,” said Killion. “I have the utmost respect for the work our law enforcement officers do on a daily basis, putting their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. As a member of the Senate, I will support our police and work to ensure they have the tools and training that they need to perform their jobs safely and effectively while they protect our families, homes, and businesses.”
